THIS IS A VERY WELL MADE TEA KETTLE. DOESN'T SPIT WHEN YOU POUR. WELL WORTH THE MONEY, VERY SHINY. NICE LOOKING ON THE STOVE. MANY COMPLIMENTS ON HOW NICE IT IS. ALSO, IT'S ALL ONE PIECE, NO SEAMS.

This is actually my second purchase of this water kettle. I hate the noise of whistling tea kettles and I have a flat top range so I needed a quiet kettle with a flat bottom. The first kettle that I bought lasted about five years and survived several instances of boiling dry but finally succumbed to the stress and started warping and delaminating on the bottom. I looked for a cheaper replacement and actually bought a tea kettle that was flat but sloshed boiling water around instead of pouring precisely. Finally I gave up and purchased this one and we are once again happy.

We've been using this kettle for over a month, & are very pleased with it. On our gas stove it takes 5 - 6 minutes to heat 30 oz of water.... The lid will not fall off while you're pouring if you twist it slightly; there's a mark on the lid for that purpose, I guess.... I chose this model particularly for the handle that can be turned down (although I've found that it doesn't get that hot, so I can leave it up while heating), and the long pour spout, which is great for pour-over coffee brewing. We've had to get used to not having a whistle, so now we usually set the stove timer to remind us, but that's minor compared to all the good qualities of this kettle.
