This swing is a great investment, in that it provides a diversion to a baby's constant need for attention. A baby can enjoy a soothing ride accompanied by nice sound effects or music while mommy or daddy can relax for a bit. This unit comes with a rotating mobile that certainly keeps a baby's interest. Even better is the fact that the unit can forward-swing or go side-to-side in cradle fashion; my daughter loves both modes. I particularly love the AC power that I can use instead of batteries. Above everything else, this unit is a win-win for both baby and parent, because a baby can derive enjoyment and benefit from the relaxation it brings while parents can tend to household duties. One can feel safe using this unit, as it has the standard strap and buckle, coupled with an adjustable angle switch for the seat. This swing is money well-spent.

I am in the Army stationed in Germany. We do not have the same shopping experiences here that most of you do in the States. Anyway, we bought the Ocean theme of this product yesterday in Nurnberg, (16 Nov 2011) for our 3 day old. He loved being swung in his car seat, and now daddy's arms are starting to give out.

First off, mine did not come with a plug for the wall. I'm pretty upset about that, but what can you do?

Second, from the first time I turned it on, the motor was very loud. So loud in fact, we could barely hear the music over it.

I read a post that some one said "make sure the legs are as far out as possible", but this did not change the volume of the motor. I am expecting the motor to burn up in the next week or so. It's working pretty dang hard to swing.

Overview, it's a great product, if the motor wasn't so loud. It was not loud in the store model. However, I will be returning it this weekend.

I have 6 month old twins and therefore own 2 of these swings. After about 4 months they both broke. The motor just quit. The mobile and music still worked but no swing. I am very disappointed. I originally owned the aquarium battery operated swing. I got that when my first was born, almost nine years ago. It was used for 4 children and for two months I used it for one of my twins. In all the YEARS (about 4) of use I never had a problem. I only decided to get rid of it an invest in another luv u zoo because I was going through so many batteries. I held on to my aquarium swing for a couple months before I finally gave it away and not even 3 days later the first swing crapped out. I called fisher-price, and they quickly offered to send a new motor head out. Shortly after I got off the phone I received an email that they were back ordered almost an entire month! Before I received the new head, the second swing crapped out too. So two babies and two non-functioning swings. Luckily I have since received the first motor and the second has been shipped. I'm upset with the hassle of all. The reason I gave it a 3 star is: it's a great swing (when it works) and fisher-price warranty department is great. Wasn't happy about the back order situation but I think that speaks to the issues they are having with this swing.
